Chevy’s Corvette

First introduced in 1953, the Chevrolet Corvette is the most classic American sports cars. Built by an American car company, it was the first completely American sports car. Today, Bowling Green, Kentucky is where Corvettes are manufactured and created with great care also.
Continually improved to be on par with popular European sports cars is the cars handling, which was the main complaint of owners. These cars are relatively affordable because they are created far simpler than the European cars, they also weigh less and are a bit smaller. Harley Earl was the famous car designer of originally designed the beloved sports car. He noticed that second world war soldiers brought back European sports cars and that America didn’t have one.
The body, made of fiberglass, was new at the time but Chevrolet release it with the first V8 engine back in 1955.  There are now six generation of Corvettes with the first having 290 horsepower and a fuel injection system. Power windows and a convertible top were just two options available.
